Mikel DC Moss, B.S., M.A.Ed., MRes

I have over two decades of education and experience in the mental health field. I have completed Master of Arts Research  at Monash University in Melbourne and I also have a Master of Arts in Education in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University, with minors in Global Mental Health & Trauma, Community Psychology, and Research Methods. I have experience as an Alternative Training Student in Drama Therapy and Counseling Psychology through various institutions accredited through the North American Drama Therapy Association.

My academic journey includes roles as a Visiting Associate Professor at Wells College, a Teaching Assistant at The University of Melbourne and Monash, an instructor at the Community School of Music and Arts, and a Co-Instructor at the Actors Workshop of Ithaca. Additionally, I have served on the boards of the Southside Community Center, the Tompkins County Workers Center, and The Civic Ensemble.

In addition to all of this, I have spent the past 4 years running my own private Counseling Service in Melbourne, Australia as well as teaching, lecturing, and presenting at conferences worldwide. I have recently relocated back to my hometown of Ithaca, New York and I am so happy to be home!

My passion lies in creating safe spaces for healing primarily for Black and Brown individuals across intersections, but I work with EVERYONE
